Our Mission

Awakening Seed is an innovative, compassionate learning community that inspires global citizens by fostering curiosity, celebrating uniqueness, and promoting social justice.

Since 1977, when Awakening Seed was first founded, the mission of the school has always emphasized planetary stewardship, inclusivity, and social justice.  Over four decades later, we continue this work.  Our intention in creating this website is to provide resources for and documentation of our social justice practices.  It is most definitely a work in progress, and we welcome your questions and feedback.  Thank you for your interest in Awakening Seed’s social justice program.
